Images Getting Cropped

    Hi, a few problems here:

    1) The thumbnails for the related posts are cropping the images to the point they’re unrecognizable. Is there a way to shrink them so the whole image displays? It will be small, but that’s ok, it’s better than the tops and sides getting chopped off like it is now.

    2) I specified rectangle instead of thumbnail, and the thumbnail still shows the same size. Nothing is changing.

    3) I specified to display only 4 related posts, but in some cases up to 6 are being displayed.

    My website is in maintenance mode and thus I can’t post a link, but hopefully I described the problem in enough detail. Thank you.

    Hello, Yuzo has options as shown in the thumbnail images on the related, there is the option Background size: Cover/Contain

    Hi, I made the change from Cover to Contain, but nothing changed. Also, you didn’t address my other two questions (#2 and #3), both of which are still a problem.

    As stated in my original post, the website is in maintenance mode and I’m not able to post a link. But you can visualize that there are 5 or 6 related posts being displayed after I’ve set the number to 4. The size of the thumbnails is also not changing whether I set it to rectangle or thumbnail. And of course the cropped images still remain. All of this is stated in my original post.

    At this point I can live with the cropped images. I’m just baffled as to why I’m setting the number of posts to display to 4, and yet in some instances up to 6 are being displayed.

    Now when I try to change the layout style of the related posts, the style doesn’t change! No changes are being updated at all after I save them. Very confused…

    I think that wordpress short pictures so you can check the link in the ‘related post’ and put the url of the thumbnail image in the browser to see if cut out.
    Because the size ‘Thumbanail’ shows the smallest image wordpress genre when uploaded image (150×150).

    Ok fair enough. But can you please address the issue with why it’s showing 6 related posts when I’ve set it to 4? I’ve asked this question 4 times now.

    Currently set to Tags & Categories, but the result is the same if I set it to just Tags.

    I figured it out. The general settings weren’t taking effect because they were being overridden by the settings in the widget itself. Images are still “cropped,” but I can live with that for now. Thanks.

    Switching to “contain” in the widget settings did fix the images. All is good, this topic can be closed.
