  • I’ll look into that. I have witnessed images on my computer that sometimes show in the wrong orientation which I put down to something to do with them being taken on my mobile. I’ll definitely check to make sure I’ve not accidentally flipped the height and width values.

    Hi,

I’ve checked and I’ve definitely not swapped over the height and width values. Can you let me know your configuration and the size of your original image so I can test here.

    Thanks

First of all, thanks for the quick response!!

My client is taking pics w/ their camera (portrait style) and they are typically 2304 x 3072. A second batch came through and they were 480 x 640 (I think they will continue to be around this size) They then got some professional ones done and those came in at 2667 x 4000 (all those dimensions are w x h)

We’re using woo, so I want all of these images to be 450 x 600.

Let me know what i’m doing that’s askew… as i said, it worked perfectly the last time i tried it, but it rotated the images and they stayed “rotated” when I tried to use them in a product page as well.

    Hi,

Fancy updating to v1.7 and giving this another go? I’ve re-engineered the plugin to use standard WordPress resizing libraries. If it still rotates images, then I’m afraid it must be something to do with the data stored in the image itself for it’s orientation. Just so you know, once you’ve uploaded an image, you can sort the rotation from within the Media Editor.

Let me know how you get on,
    Phil

funky… it uploads fine, but I need to switch the h X w values so it resizes correctly. That said, it is still flipping the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise.
When I rotate it, the dimensions remain perfect and it works just fine.

This is all for the purpose of my client not having to learn Gimp or buy Photoshop… This is also an inherited theme that I am not all that familiar with (lots of customizations). I may test the plugin on a different site w/ just a default theme in place. If that works, I’ll let you know. I just didn’t want you spinning your wheels on something that is not the fault of your plugin, but could be the theme at play.

    I’ll let you know!

    jason.
