• I took over this site from somebody else, and I have noticed that a number of images are actually showing up as posts. More importantly, they are showing up on Google when people search for us.

    Is there a way to stop this? How can I go back and delete the previously generated pages?

    Theres no reason this image should show up in Google, but it does.

    This is causing quite a stir in the office, so any help is much appreciated!

  • That’s not a post, it’s an image attachment page, and it’s default WordPress behavior. All WordPress sites do that.

    I’m not sure why that’s ending up in Google—it probably depends on what your search terms are.

    There are a number of plugins that will help you deal with this situation. I haven’t tried any, so you’ll want to look them over carefully and probably try out two or three:
