Images from posts filtered on category

Hello all. I’m not sure whether this is a support question or not but any way. First of all sorry for my english (
The idea is the following.
I have categories (as anyone in WP). I use them as tags when post my photos (e.g. I have ‘pinhole’, ‘nature’, ‘portret’ categories). What I want – I want to see on category page only images from posts within filtered category. So as I realize I need to extract images from posts whithin category I select and then bring them to the category page.
To tell the truth it is the part of my idea.
I want users to have an option when they go to category page whether display this page as usual list of posts or they could look only through the images in this category.
Is it real to create such option?
