Images from articles on firstpage (homepage)

Any idea how to show images on firstpage (homepage) where Blog layout are used?

I have images in articles, but images aren’t show on first page. Reader must open every article to see the image. This isn’t good, because many times articles are short (with image or two) and reader should see all content on first page – without clicking and opening every article.

Any idea?
