Images Failing to Upload

I’m trying to update a post with a new image. When I click on edit post, I remove the featured image and attempt to upload a new image. The jpeg image I’m trying to upload is 410K. Once the image is uploaded, its shown as a white box in the media library rather than showing the actual image. There is a checkmark that shows up once the image is uploaded, which would tell me the upload was successful. However, when I try to add that image to the page as the featured image, no image will show up on my page. I also went to the media library within my admin page and tried to upload the image there. Again, it appears the image is being uploaded as I see the name of my image in my library, however, there is no picture of the image like there is with images I previously uploaded. And, when adding the image to a post, it again does not show up on the website.
