Images don't attach to posts

  • I’ve noticed that when images are posted, they don’t properly attach to the post. What I mean is, if you go into the Dashboard and look at the Media, it remains “unattached”. Is this intentional or a bug? How can I make it attach?

    It just occurred to me why this problem is happening and there might not be a simple solution. Is it not attaching the image to the post/page because the post doesn’t actually exist — front end posting — yet?

    Is there any automated solution for this?

    For an image to “attach” to a post, typically it has to be uploaded from within the post editor (dashboard) for that post.

    I think you may be onto something on the front end posting vs. dashboard post editor posting.

    Given that P2 is no longer in active development, I don’t think this is something that will be fixed. I’ll try and verify this behavior with the developers though and get back to you.
