Images disappearing from posts/homepage

When I write a post and upload the image, it shows up and everything appears fine. Then a couple of days later, I’ll notice that image has disappeared and there’s only a gray box showing. I thought it had to do with using PNG instead of JPG files, but I switched some out and the problem remains. For example, if you go to my homepage https://www.wellnesscarousel.com you can see several posts are missing their images. If you click on the Favorite Quotes about Courage post, on the actual post page the image appears, but it’s not on the link on the main home page. I don’t know what to do. There seems to be no rhyme or reason – some posts which are fine one day, will have a missing image the next day, even though I haven’t updated or changed the post or its images.
Any ideas?
