    Hello,

when I activate the plugin, random images on the website are disappearing.

When I deactivate it, they appear again. if I activate it one more time, same or different images are disappearing. It looks like there is no logic in that.

    Could please someone help?

Hi @alealealeale1234, thanks for reaching out.

This seems to be explainable through either the size, source or method of inserting the images (such as a plugin or Javascript library) is being triggered as a false-positive and I think Learning Mode can help you out here.

From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished performing the actions, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hello Peter,
    thanks for your quick reply.
I enabled the learning mode again, but since I already loaded the media files earlier, a lot of them disappeared again as happened previouly.

Are you suggesting to enable the learning mode, and then just load random media files (and delete them after) in order to “teach” wordfence not to make them disappear?
or do you have a different suggestion given my situation?

    Thanks again!
    Alessandro

    Hi @alealealeale1234,

Yes, I would suggest enabling learning mode and then loading your media in a way your site would be loading the media. If you need to click around your site, visit your pages or perform actions such as uploads/downloads then those are the actions that need to be taken for Wordfence to learn that the operations are normal.

If this still doesn’t resolve your issue, please feel free to send me further information such as browser console errors and/or on-screen examples of problems you’re seeing in case it is a different issue. A site such as Snipboard can help you share images with us here on the forums.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
