    Hello,

Recently after installing this plugin and using the bulk optimizer, I returned to my site and discovered that several of my images no longer show on the pages — including our banner image/header image and sidebar map! What could be going on?

You can also see where there are images missing from our Youth Ed Page, Get Communications, Service Projects, Grocery Card Fundraiser, Facility Rental, and Weddings & Unions pages! Please help.

    Our site is https://interfaithspirit.org.

I have checked the debugging option but don’t know where to look to provide you the information from there.

The debugging information is at the bottom of the settings page, but that is likely irrelevant at this point.

Are you using any of the WebP options? And how long have you been using the Jetpack Photon extension?

    Hi,

I am not using those WebP options. After writing this, I went back and re-inserted all those missing photos (about a dozen) into their respective places and now they are showing again.

The Jetpack Photon extension came with our package and I guess we’ve been using it all along. Our site was still just loading as slow as molasses so we thought we’d try your plug-in. Do you think there’s an incompatibility?

    Thanks.

    Aw man,

That’s not entirely true. I was using Chrome and only a few of the image links were broken. Just checked in Safari and there are a bunch more missing! Ugggg :((((( It’s nearly 1 a.m. and I have to stop for the night. Any help would be much appreciated. I guess I have to go back and reload all of these???

I’m only guessing here, because I don’t know the history of your site, but it appears that you moved it from interfaithspirit.com to interfaithspirit.org at some point. All the image urls that I saw had interfaithspirit.com in them, which redirects to interfaithspirit.org, thus breaking all your image urls. So it actually has nothing to do with EWWW IO or Photon. The redirect simply doesn’t map the old addresses to the new ones. It maps something like https://interfaithspirit.com/my-awesome-page/ to the new home page at https://interfaithspirit.org/ instead of https://interfaithspirit.org/my-awesome-page/

So, long story short, yes you will have to fix all your images. There’s a slightly shorter way though I think. You can switch to text view when you’re updating the pages/posts, and just swap the .com for .org, and it should fix the images.
