Images center align in editor, when I publish they are aligned left

none of the images are inserted centered; or if you clicked on ‘centered’, this information got lost when saving the post.

however, even if the image had the right CSS class, the .aligncenter style seems to get overwritten by (in style.css of the theme):

img[class*="wp-image-"] {
	margin: 15px 0;
}

correct that with a new CSS in either style.css of a child theme or via a custom CSS plugin:

img[class*="wp-image-"].aligncenter {
	margin: 15px auto;
}

Do you have a link that would show me how to do that…don’t know what a child them or custom css plugin is..I’m still new to this and just find it troubling that this can’t happen just by clicking the center align button in the post editor. I center aligned it again and saved but the same thing happened.

as you already have ‘jetpack’ activated, consider to activate and use the ‘Custom CSS’ feature of that plugin.

the methods above are not necessary to customize a site, but help to keep customization even if you upgrade the theme.
