Images Breaking – This endpoint is deprecated.

I have read this thread, understood. It’s only video thumbnails that aren’t working for me now. When I inspect the links, it sends me to instagram CDN with a white image. I’m guessing this is an issue on instagrams side if the CDN is returning white images?

Anyways, do you have a fix and if so, when can we expect an update roughly?

Thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. If you have the latest version of the plugin, 2.5.4, you should not have any issues displaying any post thumbnails. If you are, please ensure you have Favor Local Images enabled under Instagram Feed > Customize, and you may also need to click Reset Resized Images as well as Clear Backup/Permanent Cache to force the plugin to get images with the new system. It may also be a caching issue from other plugins so make sure to clear any website and local cache. Let us know should you still be having issues and if possible send a link to the website in question.

FYI this bug is STILL not fixed. Latest version gives 250KB thumbnails – what on earth?

Editing inc/class-sb-instagram-post.php around line 243 to add $image_editor->set_quality(80); restores the thumbnail size to around 20KB.
