Images being served from Photon, despite it being disabled

  • I have a curious issue:

    I have Jetpack installed on my blog (https://kyrill-poole.co.uk/blog/) and it’s been working fine but I’ve noticed that it’s serving images I upload from Photon.

    Normally, this wouldn’t be a cause for concern, but I don’t have Photon enabled. So why’s it serving stuff from i0/i1/i2.wp.com when only Photon should be doing that?

    OK it looks like it’s being caused by the Mosaic plugin, bizarrely. For whatever reason, it seems to use Photon to handle its images.
