• very new to WordPress –
    Not sure where to find my version
    Host provides did recent update and things seem to be glitchy now
    using 2011 template
    when I upload new images to media library they are getting cropped as if they were header images (940 X 198) actual image is 900 X 650
    in image library – thumbnail looks ok but when you click ‘view’ it is cropping of most of the top and bottom. Image characteristics show correct size.

    Have deleted and reloaded several times – does not fix problem

    suggestions?

  • Where are you using the images?

    When you insert the images into your posts, you can choose the size of the image
    Thumbnail, Medium, Large, Full.
    Make sure the Full size is selected and cropping shouldn’t occur.

    I have video tutorials on my site if you need more help.

    Tried deleting image – renamed it on my computer and loaded it again – made sure full size was clicked – still have problem

    site is baxterlakes.net – using in photo gallery ‘wildlife’ 2 photos of ducks have been in there for a while and are ok – new one of frog is the problem image.

    Bad timeing – I am making a presentation tonight to our subdivision trustees to try to get them to switch their site to WordPress

    Thanks,
