Using MLA is it possible to navigate through attachments that have been assigned multiple tags? Eg – say I have an image that is tagged both ‘house’ and ‘england’ if I click the image from within the ‘house’ archive page can I first go to the attachment page for the image and then navigate from there to the next or previous image attachment page that is tagged ‘house’?

If, however, I were on the ‘england’ archive and I clicked that same image I’d want to go to the attachment page to view the image but the navigation on that page would go to the next or previous attachment page for images tagged ‘england’.

Just checking if this is possible before I scrap using my current plugin which I’m struggling with. Thanks

Thanks for your question, which is a variation on this earlier topic:

Link to next image in MLA category?

You wrote “I click the image from within the ‘house’ archive page” – you did not say how the “house archive page” was created. The standard WordPress archive pages do not include Media Library items. You can find some alternatives in the earlier topic.

You mentioned “my current plugin which I’m struggling with“. If you can give more details about the plugin and what you do/do not like it would be interesting.

Have a look through the earlier topic and let me know what other help I can provide. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

Thanks so much for taking the time to consider my question. I have managed to work something out that means I no longer need to switch plugins.

I just needed to restrict the nav on the attachment page to pages within the term from which I had visited.

Thanks for your update with the good news that you have solved your application issue, and for marking this topic resolved. If there’s anything else MLA or I can do to help with your application, let me know.
