Images as links or images instead of titles in blogroll?

I am trying to figure out how to use images to represent links instead of titles. I have a recommended reading list on my blog and I’m trying to use the cover of the book to represent the link instead of the title. Is there a way to do this? If this is not possible, can you use the media section to download the images and make them links? This is my first blog, and I’m completely new to wordpress.
