Last month, a close friend died, so I helped to set up a web site in her memory. A lot of images were sent to me, so I posted them all up onto the site, creating 18 different pages of photographs.
Everything has been working fine. Now, unfortunately, some of the images are not showing up: look, for example, at this page: https://www.flo-ti-foster.com/?page_id=65.
If you click on the line in the middle of the box, you can see that the image is there. But it’s not appearing in the page.
Relevant coding for the first picture on the page is:
backticks[caption id="attachment_71" align="aligncenter" width="574" caption="Flo at Kippax Street, Manchester, 1986"]<img class=”size-large wp-image-71 ” title=”Flo Christmas 86 Kippax_NEW” src=”https://www.flo-ti-foster.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Flo-Christmas-86-Kippax_NEW-1024×790.jpg” alt=”” width=”574″ height=”442″ />[/caption]backticks

I imagine that I could upload all 200 images again, but I’d prefer it if there is a simple short cut that someone could let me know about. Obviously, I need to do this sooner, rather than later, as many of her friends and family are still looking at the site, and the lack of images isn’t helping the grieving process.

If anyone can offer any solutions, please shout. I’ve had a look at the ftp server and all the images are there… it’s beguiling.
Cheers
Stan

Example, this is the path to one of your images as rendered by the browser https://www.flo-ti-foster.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Flo-Ally-96_NEW-1024x688.jpg if you try to go directly to that image it says it doesn’t exist. But if I go to this image path it does show https://www.flo-ti-foster.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Flo-Ally-96_NEW.jpg

I think the problem is with your setup not creating the thumbnails or smaller versions of the images.

Is there a way, then, of recreating these thumbnails or smaller versions of the images?

You can try this plug-in AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild
