Images are showing as hotlinked in media

  • When I upload an image in wordpress it changes to a message saying it’s hotlinked (which it isn’t)
    How do I fix this? I’m guessing it’s something in the back end.

    That’s not a message I’ve ever encountered while uploading. Linking is normally done as an option after inserting into a post, and there’s no message one way or the other when doing so.

    I suspect it’s related to your theme or a plugin you use. Determine the responsible module by selectively deactivating plugins or switching to a twenty* theme until the issue no longer occurs. Take this up in the dedicated support channel of the responsible module. The devs and expert users there will be in the best position to help you.
