    Hello @antonios31 !

    Hope you’re doing well today!

By default Smush won’t compress the original images, only the smaller versions.

You can enable an option to have Smush compress also the original images in Smush >> Bulk Smush – “Uploaded Images” – “Compress uploaded images”. I also suggest to set the “Backup uploaded images” option as well, to have a backup of the original images in case you need to restore them.

After that all newly uploaded images will be compressed and you can also “Re-check Images” at the top of that same page and run Bulk Smush to compress the originals.

    Kind regards,
    Pawel

Dear staff i reopen this ticket because i need more attention:
yesterday i finished to bulk all of my images on my site. I set, also, in the option the maximum image 800×600 pixel, because i do not need bigger.
I noticed that sometimes smush does not resize the images randomly, i mean as you can see here https://ibb.co/B3SNzc9 this image was not smushed: the resolution is bigger than the one i set in the option and is not smushed.
Also see this image https://ibb.co/crvzJxK is not smushed, is toooooo big and with a bigger resolutions.
It is strange because others images are perfectly smushed. Hope to understand the problem. Thanks

    Hi @antonios31

Sorry to hear the issue persists,

Could you check your Max Execution time and Memory Limit?

It could be a timeout on the Smush process, you can find more on https://wpmudev.com/blog/increase-memory-limit/

all the options are at maximum and my hosting is a big hosting with 4gb of ram so there is not memory limit but basically i put 1024M and tried also 2048M and -1 for full memory dedicated. nothing changed.

    Hello @antonios31 !

This is very odd – the resources you have should in fact be completely fine. Maybe it has something to do with the images themselves?

If that’s okay, would you be able to upload the original images to a cloud drive and send us a download link using our contact form? This will ensure that the images are not publicly available and also will allow us to test them on our test sites and possibly see any potential issues.
