• Does anyone know if there’s a way you can format a photo so that it will always show up on Threads and other platforms? I will typically write a post on my blog and add a full-width photo at the top. It seems to be entirely hit-or-miss whether the photo shows up in Threads or not.

You may want to try the Open Graph and Twitter Card Tags plugin. Not sure what its results are on Threads but I guess Threads also uses Open Graph Tags as it is a Meta platform.

    Hi dkennedy56?

Facebook and thread rely on meta tags (specifically Open Graph tags) to determine what content to display when a link is shared. so make sure the correct image is set as the featured image in the Open Graph settings for each post. You can manually choose which image will appear when sharing by specifying it in the OG tags. You may use Use a plugin like Yoast SEO or Rank Math to manage Open Graph tags.

For best results, ensure the image meets recommended dimensions for social platforms. Generally, 1200 x 630 pixels works well for most platforms, including Facebook and Threads.

If you make changes to the post or meta tags, make sure to clear the WordPress cache

    Cheers
