Images and links on front page not functioning (Waffle)

  • I am pretty new to WordPress (an website building) but have not had too many problems creating what I need up until now. I am using Waffle theme.

    When I try to add a hyper link on the front page of my site it allows me to go through the steps but the link never gets created. Same goes for inserting an image. (I have a static front page.)

    I can see the code in the text screen an it looks like it should be showing up properly.

    This is not an issue on any other page.

    I have created a hyperlink and added an image on the back end and left it there despite it not showing up. Maybe someone can help?

    ex: your thems, your version　of wordpress and so on.
