• Some time ago (2-3 weeks), my wp-admin (My WordPress Dashboard) started opening slowly or not loading at all. Later, I noticed that my website also need a lot of time to load – sometimes. I tried GTMetrix and F12 > Network to locate the problems, however Google PageSpeed Insight doesn’t report any decrease in performance.

    What I’ve tried so far:
    – Disabling plugins that I’ve recently installed
    – Contacting my hosting provider (Siteground), they assured me that nothing is wrong and checked my website for malware
    – Disconnecting, reconnecting, and reconfiguring Cloudflare
    – Reinstalling WordPress 5.5
    – Checking my network connection and using different PC’s.
    – Reuploading some images
    – Disabling LazyLoad in SG Optimizer

    Nothing seems to change the behaviour, it seems completely random. With everything mentioned above, these errors still seem completely random. Sometimes they happen, sometimes they don’t.

    I can’t seem to be able to locate the issue.

    You’re using a shared server. When other sites hosted there get busy, your site will slow down. If this were related to your site, then you’d see it (mis)behave consistently.

    But this hasn’t been a problem until now. Does that mean that SiteGround’s servers got busier (meaning more clients) and I’d have to upgrade my hosting plan or is there a way around this?

    optimize your site as best you can. If it gets really slow, bug hosting support.
