• Hi,

I just wanted to check something – if I bulk resize images that are already uploaded on my website will the actual image look smaller on the page or does it stay the same and just take up less space on my server? (Ignorant question I know – but I just need to be sure).

  • The default when uploading media is that WordPress won’t embed the “original” image, it will default to the the “large” or “medium” sized image to insert into your posts. So, if that’s the case it literally will not affect your site at all because Imsanity only re-scales the original image.

As for any bulk operation, I recommend backing up your wp-content/uploads folder as well as making a database backup. That way you can put everything back the way it was if anything goes wrong.
