    hi,

i use this plugin from time to time, premium version – no real time because slows down the admin.

If today i optimize all images, then stop the plugin and after 1 month i run Shortpixel again, it will know to optimize only imaegs from last month? Or will begin to optimize all images from the beginning of the site? It is about credit consumption.

    thanks

    Hi Andrei,
thanks for your message and for using ShortPixel! ??

Yes, as long as you don’t remove ShortPixel’s metadata from your DB you can turn the plugin on/off anytime you want, it will “know” what was optimized and what not and will just resume the process. No extra credits consumed.

But it is a bit weird that you’re saying the admin is slowed down by ShortPixel: would you be willing to provide us with access to have a quick look and investigate this?

If so please contact us directly here.

    Thank you,
    Alex

Which is the wp_post mta filed name for each post or the table name? I plan to use it on multiple sites, i will let you know if indeed i see is working slower due your plugin, i will test more.

    Hi Andrei,

ShortPixel writes additional info in the existing _wp_attachment_metadata record for the image, in the wp_postmeta table. It adds a two keys: ShortPixelImprovement and ShortPixel.

Please let us know if you find performance issues.

    Thanks,
    Simon.
