Images added to Library but not showing in library window in Post

  • When adding an image to the Media Library via post the image does not show in the library. But when I view the library via the main menu the image has been added. I go back to post and the image still doe not show. This is super frustrating.
    Has this happened to anyone else? How did you fix it?

  • I find it really interesting that there is such a huge number of solutions to this single problem. Whats WPML?? (Clearly I don’t run it, or custom fields). Another solution which worked for some people was changing permissions to 777 on the uploads directory in /wp_content. Did nothing for me.

    Can’t help wondering why its all going wrong in the first place.

    So, I was wrong. The problem is persisting. The update to WPML on Friday seemed to fix the problem, but it is back today and now new images aren’t even showing when I access the library via the main menu.

    Well that’s annoying. Did any other plugins update in that time? I suggest that you give deactivating Advanced Custom Fields a shot. Also, did you auto-upgrade to 3.9.1?

    I’ve disabled Advanced Custom Fields and it’s not having any effect now (weird!). Our host updates WordPress on our behalf, so I lodged a ticket with them.

    So, updated to 3.9.1 and still the same problem. I’m really at a loss here…
