I upgraded from a very old (<2.0) version of Nextgen to the current version and all my images/galleries/albums seem to have disappeared. The “At a Glance” section of the Overview page lists the right numbers, but the Manage Galleries page says “no entries,” albums are also gone from the Manage Albums page, and when you visit the site it says “no images found.”

WordPress and Nextgen are up to date. All plugins are up to date (I was only using two besides Nextgen). One of them was Customizable Permalinks, and the other was wp-cache. I’ve deleted the cache and disabled both plugins. I’ve also cleared the browser cache and tried accessing the page from other browsers/machines, but no luck.

LAMP server running MySQL 5.1.55, PHP 5.3.6, mod_rewrite activated, PHP Safe Mode off.

Host is Aabaco Small Business (formerly Yahoo). Theme is a custom theme, very simple with no major functions. Issue occurs in all browsers.

Here’s a link to the gallery page of the site:

Correction: Just double-checked and Mod_rewrite is NOT turned on. Apparently Aabaco doesn’t allow it. So they won’t let me create htaccess files etc. So if that’s the problem, does that mean I need to find a new host, or is there still the possibility of a workaround?

@bnavasky – In NextGEN Gallery this should not really be too big of an issue, at least not as far as what you are describing as I understand it. Not being able to write to an .htaccess file might make troubleshooting problematic as I would recommend trying to change the WordPress Permalinks to something other than the “Default” such as “Post name” or “Month and name” as better alternatives.

If you are not able to set those Permalinks (some hosts require this to not be the “Default” for NextGEN Gallery to work correctly?!) then at best I can only suggest you send us a Bug Report (https://imagely.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can get a better look under the page at your site.

Please include as many details as you can about your site and the issue at hand so we can move on this as fast as possible.

    Thanks!
