imagebrowser no longer appearing

Hello
Until recently when I clicked on a thumbnail the image would appear in the image browser. Now I only get a single image with no option to navigate back and forth through the gallery. I’m not sure if this is a result of the recent update or if I’ve done something silly with my settings.
