• Hi,

Does anyone know why web pages created in the WordPress editor don’t look the same when opened separately in Chrome? Specifically, if I set text to wrap around an image, it does within the confines of the WordPress theme once posted, and also in the editor, whereas if I open it in isolation, just the content, text gets bumped down below the image.

Any help would be much appreciated please.

  • Can you supply a link? Also, what theme are you using?

No problem, thanks for the reply. Have a look at this article.

If you look at the last image on the page you’ll see it’s correctly aligned to the left with the text wrapping around it, but if I open my backup export of the html in Chrome it’s centred with the text below.

Also if I convert the post to pdf using the plugin we have installed I get the same result so it’s as if WordPress is using proprietary code which only displays correctly when viewed within a blog.

Hello – sorry for the late reply – it looks like you have it fixed? I checked it out on Chrome and it’s wrapping around the bottom image. I don’t see the PDF button, but I hope you got that worked out, too.

No problem, but no, sadly not. It displays as intended when within the confines of the WordPress theme, but if I open up in Chrome an html file containing just the contents of the article, the wrapping fails.

We only have the PDF option available in the admin panel.
