Image Won't Open on New Posts WP4.4

    I recently upgraded WP to 4.4, currently using Easy Fancybox v1.5.7.
    Since doing so, any new post created, will not allow an image to open in Fancybox. There is no hyperlink to allow opening of the image on the web page. All posts created before the 4.4 upgrade allow images to open in Fancybox, even those still in draft. Have tried disabling suggested plugins, and changing to a standard theme without any luck. Any suggestions?

    Sorry to further clarify, adding media to any post after the upgrade does not use Easy Fancybox. Any images put into posts or pages before the upgrade to 4.4 work correctly.

    Hi RavenH. I have added another image to the post https://www.aussiegolfquest.com/bonville-golf-resort/
    If you look at the first two large images, which are duplicated, the first will work in Easy Fancybox (from the original post), the second will not. This was put in to demonstrate not working.

    The second image is not linked. When inserting the image, set “Link to” to “Media file”. It looks like it was set to “None” at the time of inserting the second one…

    Thank you. Feel a bit silly about that. Upgrade must have changed the default setting when inserting the image.

    Don’t feel silly, your post helped me with the same problem caused by the new 4.4 version, but in the Web Dorado plugin. I also had to “link to” to “Media file” and everything started to work correctly again.
