image with “width=150” not rendered correctly in admin Visual editor
-
When laying out my posts in the wordpress editor, I include a small image at the top of the post. In the text editor, I specify width=”150″ for the image. In the Visual editor, this thumbnail-sized image used to show up correctly. I have been doing this in WP for several years.
However, in 4.8.1 the image now shows up full-size in the Visual editor, and the width= no longer has any effect. This makes it very difficult to lay out my posts.
I tried using the WP editor in chrome, firefox, and safari on my mac, and I tried deactivating all my plugins on a localhost database. I rebooted my mac. I tried the WP editor on my ipad. But width= stays full-size in the editor. However, the published post is correctly formatted in all browsers.
I put an image showing the visual vs text editor problem on my website at https://soccermoviemom.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/WP-Visual-editor-problem-4-8-1.jpg
With 4.8, started using ELementor for my front page, but I do not use it for posts. Also, as I mentioned, I deactivated Elementor on the localhost, but it did not change the width= problem. My theme is twenty seventeen.
Thank you for your help,
