    Hi,

I am trying to widen the images of the popular post widget on this website. For some reason however, they done seem to be able to get wider than they are. However, I am change the height to any height I wish.
Currently, the width is set to 2024px in the set size manually section of the widget.
I want the images to be as wide as the facebook like box and subscribe box above them.
    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi there!

I’m not sure I understood that. By checking your code, it seems WPP is creating the thumbnail to the specified width (2024px): https://oi60.tinypic.com/19p5ra.jpg

    What’s the problem, again?

    Thanks for the response!

What I am saying is that no matter how I increase the width, I still cannot get the image to widen. I need it to widen out to where the arrors are in this pic.
It’s now at 4024px, but its still the same size

    Thanks again

I figured as much. The short answer is: your theme is the culprit here.

Long(ish) answer: your theme’s stylesheet is forcing the images in the sidebar to a fixed size of 240px x 110px. That’s also the reason why your thumbnails look distorted as well. No matter how big or small you set WPP’s thumbnails to be, your theme will still force them to that fixed size.

If you need your thumbnails to be wider, ask your theme’s developer for assistance. Wider images will probably require modifying your sidebar’s width and probably some other adjustments as well, they’ll know better what must be done to keep everything tidy and nice.
