Image Widget is an awesome and essential plugin

Thanks JLeuze! I’ve often thought it should be core as well but when I last tried to propose that, the list of updates that were suggested by the core team weren’t compatible with my vision of the widget (I’d like to keep it simple).

I’m hoping that it works well with the new WordPress gallery… we’ll see.

@lilgee40a The subscribe button on my blog with the sad robot is an Image Widget. That’s just the straight up image with a link, I don’t have any handy examples that use the widget title or description.
