Image Widget 'breaks' WordPress Image Upload
-
Hi all – I love the idea of Image Widget and have been trying it out. However it seems to conflict with WordPress despite claiming it works with WP Image Manager
The basic problem is that if Image Widget is enabled I am unable to insert photos into any pages or posts. Using the standard ‘add media’ or ‘insert image’ brings up the media gallery, allows me to select my image and then I click ‘insert into post’. Then nothing happens – no image, no matter what I do.
The only way to get around it is to disable Image Widget – then everything works perfectly. I insert my images into the posts and then have to remember to re-enable Image Widget.
The problem with this is – when it is disabled I lose all of the sidebar images (it doesnt continue to display them if disabled even though the widgets are still in the sidebars) so for my entire editing session my site looks wrong and of course if I forget to re-enable the widget afterwards it stays that way.
Any way around this please guys?
