Image URLs not https in XML sitemap

    We recently switched a site to be fully running on https. We noticed that the image URLs between the <image:loc> tags in our XML sitemap are still old http URLs.

    We believe it would be better to have these appear as https URLs as well since we have a redirect for old http URLs to the new secured ones, so it would make it faster for Google to load these.

    What are your ideas on how to make these https URLs? Will there be an update that will automatically have these <image:loc> URLs be https just like the <loc> URLs when a site is setup with an SSL certificate?
