Image urls after importing

  • Hello,

    I moved my blog from blogger to wordpress. I notice that the images’ Link urls indicate blogspot, i.e. “https://2.bp.blogspot/…” for each image. I am wondering if it is going to be a problem to rank properly on search engines and also when I close my blogger blog.

  • If the link is to blogspot and you close your blogger site your images will no longer appear. You need to update the urls.

    Thanks for the information. Does it mean that i have to upload the pictures in the library of my wordpress account and insert them in each post? Is there another way to do it, quicker and easier?

    Thanks. Out of curiosity, how should have i had done it to avoid this step? I can’t imagine users doing this if they import 300 posts.

    You should have run the import whilst the blogger site was still available.

    But my blog in blogger is still available as you say.

    How exactly did you carry out the export/import?

    Well, I carried out the import process via wordpress (control panel/tools/import). And that’s it. My posts were all imported correctly except for the tags: wordpress interpreted them as if they were categories. I changed that manually post by post. Is there something that i did not do?
