Image URL problems

Hello,
I have been using wordpress from 8 months. I recently installed new theme on one of my sites.
But whenever i click on one of the pics in the post i have made,i see that it takes me to a smaller image (same image smaller size) and then when i click on that image,then it comes up in a bigger size in my colorbox type plugin.
(i found that when i hover mouse over that image,the URL is like https://www.sitename.com/postname/imagename
and when it click on that image,the URL of smaller sized image is the real URL – https://www.sitename.com/wp-content/uploads/archives/imagename )
I want it to be like whenever i click on image in a post,it should directly come up in the colorbox.
