Image URL appearing on posts

I updated to 4.4, and now all the URLs for post images appears on the page. When I am using the visual option when editing or writing, the URL doesn’t appear. But when I call up the image from my browser, as my readers do, there it is, the URL smack-dab under the image. This is, of course, unacceptable. When I check the media file, the option to display this information is now checked, which I didn’t do. But when I click it off, nothing changes. How do I fix this?
