Image uploads – local vs. live

Hi all,

I’m running into a recurring problem.

I develop my WordPress sites locally, then upload to either a stage or live server.

My content usually includes a bunch of images which I add to pages/posts using the file upload tool. Since the url of the images relates to my local server (localhost), I have to manually update the guid column of each image in wp_posts when I upload to a different server. When I upload to a stage server, then to a different live server, this gets very tedious.

Is there something I’m missing here? If I do have to update the guid value in wp_posts every time, is there a quick way to do it with myAdmin?
