Image uploading & Image resizing issues
-
Hi Konstantinos,
Thanks for the useful and working plugin!
Everything works very well, except a few things.
1) Min Width & Min Height fields in plugin options page are not working (at least for me). The image still shrinks down when the browser is resized. I had to add manually min-width and min-height to the supersized.css file. This fixed the issue. Also – you should indicate what values can be entered, px, %, vw, em, etc., and/or write an example in the description, like: Enter number of pixels only, without the “px”.
2) In the beginning I could not understand how to upload multiple images. I only saw the “Title” field and “Publish” button. Nothing else, no upload button, nothing. I saw there were many others that stumbled upon this problem, too. This is a big drawback for majority potential customers. Many of them install the plugin, does not understand how to upload the images, and un-install it. In order to make this plugin popular, the image uploading feature must become more user-friendly. There should be a BIG GREEN BUTTON in the options page, saying “UPLOAD IMAGES”. It’s a “must have” option. If that’s too difficult for you to do, though, you should at least publish a big bold colored heading in the “New Background” page, which says: “First choose a “Featured” image in the right bottom corner of this page, and then press “Publish”. You can add more images to your slide by creating more New Backgrounds in the same way.”
3) The name of the plugin is a quite unfortunate choice. It’s way too long (even now I do not remember it) and way too generic. It should be short and catchy, like for instance: “Konstantinos Background Manager”, or “Super-Duper Background Slider”. If you can’t change the name of this plugin due to www.remarpro.com rules, you should release the same plugin with the same name. I will be the first to write the feedback.
Thanks yet again for the nice plugin, and good luck !
