• I have been looking around but have not found an answer to the problem I’m having.

When I go to upload an image it all seems to upload fine. When it finishes the image just appears a broken image and when I link through the image it just gives me an error.

I have tried turning off all the plugins and I even checked to make sure the GD library is running as it should be, which it is.

The permissions are set to 771.

Further to the problem some other images have stopped displaying and are just broken images.

    Any suggestions or pointers?

  • Check your uploads path in Settings->Media. It should be blank in most installs.

thanks esmi, if the “Store uploads in this folder” is not blank it should be yes?

    In most installs, yes

Even if I delete what is there the images still don’t load properly and I still have broken images on the home page.

What makes it more annoying other WP sites that I maintain are working perfectly. Do you have any other suggestions?

I could use the nuclear option and reinstall the entire site but that comes with it’s own headaches and may not solve the problem …

Can we have a link to a page containing one of these missing images?

I am having the same problem, and I checked my theme but uploading another, I deactivated all my plugins, not the problem and yes I even manually installed WP again.. not the problem (but what a headache)

I’m honestly about ready to move to Tumblr since I have tried everything and since the latest upgrade 3.4.1 I can’t even revert back. I’ve called my host, my theme maker and nope.. nada.

Here is the link if you need to see.. anything before the update shoes.. the lates is Kaliee and it shoes on safari as the blue ? boxes on firefox it just shows nothing.

I’ve been searching for help and it’s really rather frustrating.
