Image upload via proxy server fails (Safari only)

    I have a very odd problem – if we try to upload an image to our WordPress site (using the standard uploader) from Safari AND via a proxy server – nothing seems to happen.
    After browsing for the image, it just returns to the media box with nothing uploaded.

    It works fine in Firefox/Chrome/IE – using the same proxy server…. just not Safari (on both Windows or Mac).

    It works fine from an external network (no proxy server).

    Any ideas?
