image upload times out, "not found" – server issue or plugin?

  • Hi, I don’t seem to have a problem with any other aspects of media upload for my site, but when I upload an image with a comment on a live website it times out and says “web page not available.”

    However on my local testing server on VVV there doesn’t seem to be a problem.
    Is this a webhost issue or a plugin fault?

    503 service time out is the exact error message on occasion, this does happen with no image sometimes in all fairness, but more often with image

    503 is service unavailable, probably something get wrong with the resize procedure… the apache error log, if available, should explain why.
