    Hi,

We have WordPress setup in a subdirectory called ‘CMS’. The website front end is accessed via ‘www.website.com’ where as the admin is accessed via ‘www.website.com/cms/wp-admin’.

Nextgen installs fine but won’t create a gallery and upload images via ‘Add Gallery/Images’. However, I can create a gallery via ‘Manage Galleries’.

It seems to fail when using the Ajax call within the ‘Add Gallery / Images’ section. I get two errors via my Firefox debugger (one on page entry and the other when I press the upload button):

    1) 404 POST /cms/?photocrati_ajax=1
    2) 404 POST /cms/photocrati_ajax=1&action=upload_image&gallery_id=0&gallery_name=Test&nextgen_upload_image_sec=e0fd37eab1

We have cleared down caches, check file permissions, used a default theme, reset NextGen and uninstalled all other plugins to see if it helps, but nothing.

    Can you help?

    Thanks.

Panic over, I fixed the problem.

My subdirectory with the WordPress files in was missing the index file.

…hope this may help someone else in the future!
