• A couple of days ago a strange behavior during NextGen upload began

When I upload an image, it uploads and at the end of upload says:

An unexpected error occured. This is most likely due to a server misconfiguration. Check your PHP error log or ask your hosting provider for assistance.
    0 images were uploaded

But in fact the image WAS uploaded! And everything works as usual – inserting singlepic, using as thumbnail, etc.

Much worse situation happens when I want to upload a set of images to a new gallery ??
NextGen gives me this error message for every uploaded images and behaves very strange: for example, if I upload pic1.jpg, pic2.jpg and pic3.jpg to a new gallery called “test”, it makes THREE galleries named “test” each! The first one contains pic1.jpg, the second – pic2.jpg and the third – pic3.jpg ??
Via FTP the folders with this galleries are named accordingly “test”, “test-1” and “test-2″…

The hosting is on godaddy. No changes in NextGen of WordPress configuration were made, no updates.

Where should I dig to resolve such strange problem?
I tried to reset NextGen’s setting to default – it didn’t help ??

PS: Just checked PHP memory limit/max upload/max size: they are 256/32/33Mb correspondingly – nothing was changed, as i wrote above…

Forgot to mention: if I use manual creation of the gallery, then upload files there via FTP and use “scan folder for new images” – everything is working perfectly…

@yegorka – If you are using the WordPress “Defaults” Permalinks, try changing them to something such as “Post name” or “Month and name”. If you are already using one of those (or any structure other than the “Default”) re-save the Permalinks structure.

See if that helps to sort out this issue …

… you could also try the Reset Option again after re-saving the Permalinks.

    Thanks!

    I have custom structure:
    /%category%/%postname%-%year%%monthnum%%day%/

    After re-saving them nothing changed.
After re-saving and reseting NextGen’s options I saw “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page” message ?? But all optiona ARE on their default values when I enter to NextGen options.

But anyway I have the same problem when uploading images :(((

@yegorka – The permissions error message means the settings are not actually being saved, even if they are the default.

Please send us a Bug Report (https://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can get you our external Reset Tool plugin, it may be able to help sort this out.

    Thanks!
