I am having a weird issue when uploading files that were either saved to Drop Box or retitled in DropBox and I am trying to upload to the media library.
The filename is not being properly converted in the Title field.
The Title field is taking the folder name from DropBox and appending the date, 2016 to every upload.
If I use an uploaded file that is not in that folder or a derivative of that folder, then the Title is parsed correctly and displayed correctly.

You can download the images yourself and try them. Is it how Drop Box saves data if you rename a file in Drop Box from, example: “nameA” to “nameB”?
While I am using a File Manager plugin, I don’t think it’s the plugin doing this, because it would do this on every file. I tested by adding two files. One from the DropBox folder and one from my desktop that’s an older file.
I can’t for the life of me figure out why this is happening and if it’s a bug in the Media Library when uploading an image asset from a DropBox folder.
Even if you take the image out of the DropBox folder and save it somewhere else on your desktop, the DropBox image still uploads with the DropBox folder name and not the Title converted from the Filename.

You can read under Headline: “Weaverville Website, 2016”
That’s where WordPress is pulling the info for the Title, instead of just the filename.
How do I prevent this?
