This message indicates that either the filename extension is not correct or the filename is correct, but the actual file is not an image file of the correct type.

What were you trying to upload?

I was trying to upload a picture file :

It is not just me, I had emails form 3 person trying to register and unable to upload their image.

    Thanks ??

OK, I still don’t know what the problem is. That error indicates it’s the wrong type of file, but it looks OK. I’m testing it here with no problems.

Are you using the latest version on Participants Database?

For what you are doing, you may be interested in my Image Expansion Kit add-on.

Yes I might try that but would like to be sure it is going to work.

I saw that all the pictures were erased from the database display !, fortunately I could find them in the wp-content/uploads/participant-database file and am going to re-upload them in the database.

    This is weird.

I was wondering if it could be a problem with a plugin and deactivated “Imsanity” and “EWWW Image Optimizer” but it does not look like it. I still can’t upload images.

I have the version Version 1.7.7.6 which I believe is the updated one?

That’s the latest, I was hoping you hadn’t upgraded because other than that, I can’t explain. Have you tried uploading several different files? Do they all fail?

Another thing to try is to place the allowed extensions in the field definition “values” space.

Yes I tried different files extensions (jpeg, jpeg, png)and different sizes and they failed.

When I was trying adding a new field that was a “file upload” to replace the “image upload”, then the upload of the same files would work, but the image would not be displayed in my list as an image.

I just installed the Image Expansion Kit add-on and it looks like it fixed my issue.

    Thanks for your help ??
