image upload error message

All,
After successfully uploading a group of images, suddenly got this message on the last 2 uploads:
“”image_name.png” has failed to upload due to an error
The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/11.”

I’m running Esplanade theme.

Google search reveals others with similar problem who solved it by accessing Settings>Miscellaneous to change file upload settings. Am guessing this is for wordpress.com users as I don’t have a miscellaneous menu item in my WP version.

Searched this forum as well using keywords “image error message”.

Thinking about uninstalling & re-installing theme, unless anyone has a better idea, but really don’t think it can be a theme issue; PHP I’m thinking.
