Image Upload Error

  • I can’t upload a single image as it says the error message says as “Unable to create directory D:\Program Files\VertrigoServ\www\learn\wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/11. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

    What is this problem? Hope u guys help me to solve this.

    In Admin under Settings/Other options you have specified a directory for uploads (being “uploads” and also selected the option to save in directories based on year/month system).

    So either you make these directories writable with the help of an ftp program and set (chmod) them to 0755 or even 0777 or you deselect the year/month option (AFTER backing up your uploads!!) and ofcourse your directory “uploads” has still to be writable , 0755 or 0777 .

    In an ftp program click with the right mouse button on the directory and select properties.
