Image upload doesn't work

This is the error I get, when I will upload the images:

An unexpected error occured. This is most likely due to a server misconfiguration. Check your PHP error log or ask your hosting provider for assistance.

I too, am having this problem and it is so frustrating. But I don’t even get an ERROR message. I go to “Add GAllery/Images” and then in the box type in gallery name and then click on “add files” and nothing happens. Nothing. I also tried clicking on the “Start Upload” button that is directly to the right of the “add Files” button and again, nothing happened.

Can comeone PLEASE help me with this. I went on the forums to find a solution but it was all Greek to me. Something about an FTP upload. But I installed the plugin right from WordPress. I didn’t use an FTP. Not do I know where I would put the file if I DID use an FTP (by the way, where would I find this info for future reference?)

Anyhoo, any help on getting the gallery to load images would help trmendously!!!

@waegi – This is reading like a server permissions error still … have you verified with your web hosting service that these folders (and files) are correctly inheriting the permissions from the /wp-content/ folder?

@hilgirl – You do not appear to be having the same issue (as in the error messages), that being the case I would recommend you start your own topic.

Okay, but I don’t know what I have to change for the permissions, that the gallery does work. All the folders and fiels in the wp-content folder and the wp-content folder have the same permissions with 755.

@waegi – It may be best to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) with your site’s specifics. We will want to have a closer look and will need log in and FTP credentials for your WordPress installation. Please include those with your Bug Report.
