    help upload dont work by me …. I ned a way how to get to images I have already uploaded to server with ftp

    PLS …

    all the upload formulars are starting directly on explorer template I want tu use the default wordpress because there I already have the upload from server choice added

    Upload Error: Unable to create directory /mnt/host-users/k/u/b/kuboooo/wp-content/uploads/2011/02. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    suffusion theme body background upload image button … classic interface pic file from PC … and then uploading and this error occures

    my server admin said that its not problem on server cause I have all permitions granted

    and wp-content has chmod 777 so I dont get it ??

    nothing works
    no file upload works
    any nor media library nor featured image nothing
    only way is ftp uploading to server

    Go to dashboard, settings, media. Put wp-content/uploads in the store uploads box. Save and test.

    Make sure it is not /wp-content/uploads – no slash before wp-content

    The uploaded file could not be moved to /mnt/host-users/k/u/b/kuboooo/wp-content/uploads

    This is a new error message?

    What is your url? I would like to test the path.

    I dont know where /mnt/host-users/k/u/b/kuboooo came from

    but path is wp-content/uploads
    I already red about it

    Go to the server through your host interface.
    Go to directory wp-content and create directory uploads.
    Then go to the uploads directory and create directory 2011.
    Then go to 2011 and create directory 02.

    Set permissions at 777 but don’t forget to change them back after this to 755.

    ok I will try it but tell me I want to run a site where users can upload files and those files are listed there and another user can download it … all would be after registration … so what should I do with those permissions If I ever make it work ?? ?

    Once it is working you can set up contributors, subscribers, editors, etc.

    its not working …

    the hosting web ftp is falling down … so I made a uploads/2011/2
    and took time and set 777 for each folder but the error is still present ??

    pls can you recommend me som good free hosting pls

    Yes, sorry. If you can’t create the folders via VDeck or what ever your host uses there is definitely a problem. If you create the folders and can successfully ftp into them then WordPress will work fine.
